Open plains and rolling hills like the best landscapes from Umbria adorn cypress dirt roads, bridges, valleys and beaches like the most fascinating Tuscany. The Adriatic’s most wonderful bays with mountains that appear abruptly out of the Adriatic Sea, lush and varied vegetation, the enchanting coastline of Riviera del Conero, like the enchanting Liguria. The breathtaking mountains on the border between Tuscany, Umbria and Marche: the Sibillini Mountains. This is a taste of what can be found in Trentino or in Piemonte Alps.

An endless list of food specialities such as Casciotta di Urbino, Fossa Cheese, Ascoli Piceno Olives, Carpegna Ham, Cacciatore Salami, Lamb from Central Italy, White Veal of Central Apennines, Ciauscolo, Lentils, Macaroni, The extra tasty Fish from Adriatic sea: are all protected Designation of Origin (PDO) and Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) food products. You will find much more than that, sharing hundreds of years tradition from the local master cooks and Michelin starred chefs.

The grapes from Marche are the basis for some of the World's most rare red and white wines. Here quality wine is being produced as well as some of the best virgin olive oil you can find. You will have the opportunity to taste our way to quality and compare different products - eg . wines such as Verdicchio, Rosso Conero, Lacrima di Morro d’Alba and many others.

You will visit several beautiful castles and villages where life is still lived at a leisurely pace. The scenery is a continuous surprise, its beautiful contours and designs and we climb the soft , steep hills and learn to know Marche from the " inside" at a the same leisurely pace.

You stay between Corinaldo and Senigallia. Each of these historical cities is extremely charming and lively. Your base will be an historical residence, the Castello di Monterado, overlooking the valley from the top of a hill. Here breakfast is served with a fantastic view of the Cesano Valley which includes a beautiful seaview as well as a mountain view. In this castle the honeymoon of Napoleon’s best nephew was celebrated and ceilings still have fresco paintings made for that occasion. Furniture is original from 1700 and 3 ha of forest with a lot of rare trees are surrounding the castle.

Sunday

Fly to Bologna and then drive to Le Marche. A cozy dinner is waiting for you right after checking in at the Monterado Castle.

Return to the Castle.

Monday

Excursion over 1200m discovering the Cesano River Source and the best piadina of Marche nearby.

Another spiritual day but not about food. We will visit the Fonte Avellana Monastery, built where the Cesano River starts its journey, on the Catria mountain. As always monks chose very special places for their homes, surrounded by nature. Lunch is at La Rocca in Frontone. You will experience the best piadina of Marche and the most beautiful fireplace, very useful for roasting on the grill.
Driving back to the castle takes less than 1 hour. The afternoon could be on the beach in Senigallia or just by pool at the castle.
For dinner you could explore the magic of Montalfoglio, this very small town is waiting for you.

Tuesday

Discover the heart of the Italian renaissance, Urbino.

A full day to discover a gastronomic excellence in Aqualagna area, considered the capital of the truffle because one of the four varieties of the precious tuber is available all year round: the white truffle,the black precious truffle, the white truffle or "marzuolo” and the black summer truffle or "scorzone".
A local hunter and his expertly trained dogs, will reveal all secrets of these precious "diamonds of the Earth" with their aromas and flavours, in his private estate, immersed in the Furlo nature reserve.

Wednesday

Corinaldo: learn how to make hand made pasta in this little fortified town among the most beautiful in Italy.

Let’s start with some simple but genuine breakfast. When ready you will go to Corinaldo collecting some vegetables and a few other things. A tour around the unique Corinaldo through its history and then ready to go to Maria’s. She will teach you how to make homemade pasta which you will enjoy right away with other local specialties. Then just enjoy the day and relax by the pool!

Thursday

The market in Senigallia, relaxation at the beach and mini cooking course at Fondaloro.

Early wake up to find the best catch of the day, some vegetables and a few ingredients together with Lorenzo, the Fondaloro chef. He will teach you a few tricks.
Before starting cooking with him you can have some breakfast and leisure time on the beach if you want.
After the mini cooking course just enjoy the food, the beach and the town.

Friday

Riviera del Conero, Sirolo, Portonovo and Clandestino. Here you will find a little piece of Paradise.

Early wake up but not too early. First breakfast at the castle, then let’s ride to one of the most beautiful Italian beaches: Sirolo.
It takes less than 1 hour to get there. A few minutes to go through a pine forest downhill to get to Spiaggia Sassi Neri. Then you can relax.
For lunch Silvio will offer one of the most beautiful terraces of Marche. But do not eat too much, in the evening you will try Clandestino with its 2 Michelin stars chef, Moreno Cedroni. That’s another fantastic terrace on the Adriatic sea. We will drive you back home.

Saturday

The last 2 stars of the journey. The second double starred Michelin restaurant in Senigallia.

You already know Senigallia, therefore this is a good place to spend your day before departure. You know where to go and you won’t waste time finding your way. A relaxing beach few meters from the center, full of cafes, restaurants and beautiful shops. Today you will meet Moreno Centroni’s food again, this time in his 2 Michelin star restaurant. The day will be busy or quiet according to your wishes.

Sunday

Breakfast at the hotel and departure by car to get to the airport Bologna.
